For students entering grades 1-7
Explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) this summer! You have the option of signing your child up for one of the morning sessions, one of the afternoon sessions, or both! If your child is staying for the whole day, there will be lunch and recess between the two sessions. *FOOD IS NOT PROVIDED, so please have your child bring a sack lunch. If weather permits, recess will be outside, so please put sunscreen on your child before the program.

Morning – Grades 1-3
Dig deep into the past as we walk through time as dinosaurs in this week full of prehistoric activities. We’ll learn about all kinds of dinosaurs, examine dinosaur fossils, build a dinosaur skeleton, and much more! Session taught by Natalie Madsen.
Deep Sea Adventures
Join us for a deep sea adventure! We’ll go on imaginative underwater explorations to study the ocean and its incredible creatures. Each day, we’ll dive into a variety of hands-on activities that will immerse us in the wonders of the sea. Session taught by Amy Warlop.
Morning – Grades 4-7
Searching the Stars
Are you interested in the night sky? Would you love to know what constellations you are seeing when you look at the stars? Join us for an astronomy camp designed to help you learn about the stars you see, how they are formed, and what constellations you can see during different times of the year. Session taught by Danette Rieper.
Afternoon – Grades 1-3
Come along with us on a computer coding quest! Each day, we’ll explore how simple computer programs are set up. Then, we’ll learn the basics of writing computer code – just like engineers and mathematicians. Session taught by Amy Warlop.
My Five Senses
Explore the SOUNDS and SMELLS of science. SEE how people and animals use their senses in many different ways. Can you FEEL the excitement building for this TASTEful week of fun? Session taught by Natalie Madsen.
Afternoon – Grades 4-7
Artic Adventure Challenge
Hot outside? Come and stay cool in our great Arctic Adventure Challenge class! We’ll use cool STEM skills to rescue our Arctic Expedition from an unexpected blizzard. We’ll save the team by creating projects like a snowball launcher, a thermal insulating blanket, an igloo for shelter, and more. No coats needed for our Arctic STEM Adventure! Session taught by Danette Rieper.

Science Exploration Extended Day Opportunities
Need child care before and/or after the camp? Kids West provides a variety of fun activities and breakfast/snack both before and after (activity). Register for the full week or just a few times!
