For students entering grades 1-7
Explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) this summer! You can sign up your child up for one of the morning sessions, one of the afternoon sessions, or both! If your child is staying for the whole day, there will be lunch and recess between the two sessions. *Food is not provided, so please have your child bring a sack lunch. If weather permits, recess will be outside, so please put sunscreen on your child before the program.

Join us for a captivating week full of the ocean’s most feared creatures. But is there actually reason to be afraid of these animals? We will find out this week as we face our fears and use knowledge to make informed decisions about the dangers of sharks. Don’t miss out on this sharktastic week! Session taught by Natalie Madsen.
Do you ever wonder about the weather? We’ll study what makes weather wet and wild, do cool activities
and play games, and gain some hot weather-forecasting knowledge! Session taught by Amy Warlop.
The Great Outdoors
The great outdoors is nature’s own science lab! In this class, we’ll head outdoors to explore subjects like playground physics, ecology, and the chemistry of the natural world around us. Wear comfortable closed-toed shoes to class. Session taught by Lisa Phillips.
Machines that Move
Nothing is more exciting than discovering you can build something that moves, solves a problem, answers a question, or causes a chain reaction. In this class, we’ll do just that by making machines that move! Session taught by Erica Jaramillo.
Join us on a computer coding quest! Each day, we’ll explore how simple computer programs are set up. Then, we’ll learn the basics of writing computer code—just like engineers and mathematicians.
Session taught by Amy Warlop.
Why do birds have beaks? Why don’t trees blow down in the wind? Why is there sand at the beach? Learn the answers to these questions and a ton more through fun activities and experiments! Session taught by Natalie Madsen.

Science of Art
Do you know what makes a marker work? Have you ever seen a robot draw? We’ll explore the intersection of art and science as we examine artistic materials and art concepts through the lens of science. Please bring an oversized shirt or smock to protect clothes from stains. Session taught by Erica Jaramillo.
