Are you getting ready to take the ACT test and would like to be better prepared? During this ACT Boot camp, students will learn both general and specific strategies to overcome the tricks and traps of the test. The ultimate goal of this course is to help students increase their overall score. Students will be engaged with two-way material, real-life examples, and short quizzes to test newly learned concepts from the English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing sections.
This course is taught by Greg Hudson, Valley High School AP History Teacher and ACT expert.
The next ACT Boot Camp will take place on Sat., Feb. 13, 2021.
Before and After Boot Camp
An important, but optional mock test will be held before the boot camp, so that students have a baseline to gauge their progress.
We will also offer an important, yet optional follow-up session held a couple of weeks after the Boot Camp for a check-in and a tune-up. Students should come to this follow-up session prepared with an assigned practice test.
Also, it would be a good idea for students to be registered for the next official ACT test, taking place a few weeks after the Boot Camp. Although not required, taking the actual test just 3-5 weeks after the class will maximize retention, while also allowing for independent practice time to solidify test strategies, knowledge, and skills.
