Safety Town

For students entering kindergarten this fall

Safety Town is an educational program introducing safety awareness and preventative practices to young children. Some of the topics covered include safety around strangers, fire, water, buses, traffic, and poison. Children will have an opportunity to learn through experiences in the Safety Town village, a field trip to the West Des Moines Police and Fire departments, and various classroom activities.

Cost $50 registration fee that includes a T-shirt. Scholarships are available—please call 633-5001 for details.

Please Note: If your child attends a child care center that provides transportation to Safety Town, please speak to your provider, as all child care centers must register as a group for Sessions 2, 4, or 6.
