For students entering grades 7-9

Discover new ways to enhance your digital skills with these fun, informative classes! Students can choose to take photography, videography, or do both! No supervision between the classes will be provided.

Digital Photography

Explore the art of digital photography from camera to computer. We will learn how to adjust shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and white balance using a digital SLR camera to achieve a desired outcome. We’ll also process, edit, and manipulate our images using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Some digital SLR cameras will be available for use during the class, but bringing your own camera is highly encouraged to allow for practice at home.

Digital Videography

Come explore the world of digital video! We will storyboard ideas for shooting original videos while enhancing our understanding of lighting, composition, and sound. Students will also enrich the quality of their stories and videos using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit, record voiceover, and add music. Some digital HD camcorders will be available for use during the class, but bringing your own camcorder is highly encouraged to allow for practice at home.
